When curating my itineraries, I always make it a point to include a few hidden gems — and this trip was no exception. ✨ While scouting for unique spots in Bali, Menjangan Island 🏝️ popped up as a suggestion. It sounded so unfamiliar that it immediately caught my attention. A little research later, I was convinced — this place had to make it to my itinerary. 🌍
After a scenic 4–5 hour drive from Ubud 🚗, we reached our stay — The Menjangan by Lifestyle Retreats, located inside the West Bali National Park 🌿. Since it is inside the park, you need a permit to enter 🎟️, which makes it feel quite exclusive. The resort has two main types of stays — Monsoon Lodges 🌳 and Beach Villas 🌊. The reception is at a central spot called the Bali Tower, which offers stunning views of the forest and sea 🌅. There is a restaurant here 🍽️ and another one by the beach 🏖️. The lodges, beach villas, the tower, and the beach are all connected by a convenient shuttle bus service 🚐.
