When curating my itineraries, I always make it a point to include a few hidden gems β and this trip was no exception. β¨ While scouting for unique spots in Bali, Menjangan Island ποΈ popped up as a suggestion. It sounded so unfamiliar that it immediately caught my attention. A little research later, I was convinced β this place had to make it to my itinerary. π
After a scenic 4β5 hour drive from Ubud π, we reached our stay β The Menjangan by Lifestyle Retreats, located inside the West Bali National Park πΏ. Since it is inside the park, you need a permit to enter ποΈ, which makes it feel quite exclusive. The resort has two main types of stays β Monsoon Lodges π³ and Beach Villas π. The reception is at a central spot called the Bali Tower, which offers stunning views of the forest and sea π . There is a restaurant here π½οΈ and another one by the beach ποΈ. The lodges, beach villas, the tower, and the beach are all connected by a convenient shuttle bus service π.
The place felt calm, peaceful, and surrounded by nature π. You can just relax and enjoy the quiet β perfect for honeymooners π or anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. For those who enjoy activities, the resort also offers snorkelling, diving, horse riding, and spa treatments π€ΏππββοΈ.
The water is crystal clear π and full of marine life π , and if youβre lucky π, you might even spot deer walking along the beach π¦. The mangroves along the shore make the whole setting even more beautiful πΎ.
Our stay here turned out to be one of the most memorable highlights of our Bali itinerary π©΅ β a perfect blend of nature, tranquillity, and understated luxury πΊβ¨.
